OCL browse panel

Browse All

  1. From any page on the site, click Browse all.
  2. A list of all content is displayed by default in alphabetical order by result title. In this view, each result in the list consists of the result title, editor(s), content type, product, subject(s), published in print date and ISBN.
  3. Browse the list using the cursor or by selecting a page number. To search within results, type your term into the Search within results box and click.
  4. To open any item, click on it.
     

Content Type

  1. From any page click Content type in the Browse panel at the top of the page beneath the product logo. A small arrow to the bottom right indicates that there are further items below this level.
  2. A sub-menu of Content types is displayed.
  3. OCL browse - content type

    Click on the desired content type to see all Browse results in that category.

  4. Browse the list using the cursor or by selecting a page number. To move directly to a particular document, type a letter into the Jump to: box and click Go.
  5. To open any item, click on it.
     

Subject

  1. From any page click Subject in the Browse panel at the top of the page beneath the product logo. A small arrow to the bottom right indicates that there are further items below this level.
  2. A sub-menu of Subjects is displayed.
  3. Click on the desired subject type to see all Browse results in that category.

  4. Browse the list using the cursor or by selecting a page number. To move directly to a particular document, type a letter into the Jump to: box and click Go.
  5. To open any item, click on it.
     

Key Titles

  1. From any page, click one of key titles (Bellamy & Child, Faull & Nikpay, or Whish & Bailey) in the Browse panel at the top of the page beneath the product logo.
  2. An alphabetical list of results in the current edition of the book is displayed.
  3. Browse the list using the cursor or by selecting a page number. To move directly to a particular document, type a letter into the Jump to: box and click Go.
  4. To open any item, click on it.
  5. By default, all results for this book are displayed. To filter your results by main work or supplement, click on the appropriate X in the ‘breadcrumb trail’ link at the top of the results page (in the example below, only results from the current and cumulative supplements will be displayed):
  6. Use the Clear All link to clear your current set of browse results.
     

To view the content of a single book in the order in which it appears in the book

  1. Go to Browse All.
  2. Select narrowing by Book Title from the facets on the left hand side.
  3. In the list that appears, tick the box next to the relevant book title appears to select it (note that authors are not shown in this list).
  4. Click the Update button.
  5. Your results will be updated so that they include only content from the selected title – the results will be in A – Z order by default, based on the title of each section of the book.
  6. Select Table of Contents from the ‘Sort by’ drop-down to see the content in the order in which it was published in print.
